Jewellery - Glass Fusing

Who is this course for?

Level 1 and above - This one and a half hour class is suitable for beginners and experienced students.

What does the course cover?

During this class Karen will teach you the technique of shaping specialist glass and creating your own designs in preparation for it to be fired in our kiln. Using high quality coloured and clear Bullseye glass you will create your own Cabochons - a smooth gemstone style glass shape that you can make into earrings or pendants - something for yourself or a gift for someone special.

What is included in the fee?

Your fee includes tuition by Karen, the use of tools and equipment and all materials, with the exception of Dichroic glass. 

Please note that an option to use Dichroic (reflective) glass will be available on the day but this will incur an additional charge. Each student can make up to two pendants and two sets of earrings.

There is a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure individual attention.

Please note your pieces are taken away to be fired and will be ready for completion and collection the following week.

We will try to make our classes accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking

 What do I need to bring?

• Please wear sturdy and fully enclosed footwear (no open toes or gaping sides) and old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged.
• Please ensure long hair is tied back. 
• All drink containers/bottles must have lids. Students must bring own refreshements.

The GlassHouse, 5b Albion Road, North Shields, NE30 2RJ.

 All our classes are for age 16 and over, unless otherwise specified.

Course terms and conditions:

• In the event of a class being cancelled by the Host, the option of a full refund will be issued or the student may request a date transfer if available.
• Cancellations by the student over 28 days of the class date – we will offer a full refund or date transfer if available at the discretion of the student.
• Cancellations by the student within 28 days of the class date – we are unable to offer a refund or date change.  Please see following information:
• If we are able to re-sell your place a refund will be given at all times and every effort will be made to re-sell at all times.
• Non-attendance – if you do not attend on the day of your class you will not be eligible for a refund or class transfer.
• Payment of your class fee is deemed as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
