Who is this course for?
In this workshop your child will design and create at least two pieces of wire workjewellery. Under the guidance of silversmith Kate Hunter-Parker they will use a number of silversmithing tools, beads, seaglass and a range of wires to bring their aluminum wirework pieces to life. This course will teach them a range of jewellery making skills and build their confidence to try this at home.
Each child will get plenty of one-on-one time with the tutor to develop their own understanding, work at their own pace and turn their unique ideas into wearable pieces.
Kate Hunter-Parker is a silversmith but also a qualified tutor and has a lot of experience of working with children and young adults.
2 hour class.
What does the course cover?
The course will allow your child to design and create at least two pieces of jewellery. They will learn some wire working techniques and have the opportunity to try a range of silversmithing tools. They will be able to pick their own resources from a large range of materials. This course is designed to support your child to be able to bring their unique ideas to life.
What is included in the fee?
The fee includes tuition, the use of tools and equipment and all the materials to make two pieces of jewellery.
There is a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure individual attention.
